We were at Randolph for four days this week talking about rope tying and knots- safe to say they are prepared! We also explored other lessons such as the importance of maps 🗺️ and the stories they tell, how camouflage is used around us daily 🦎, how to build a campfire 🔥, and we built some tents!
We have definitely learned that tent building is a favorite activity. It is rewarding to watch kids pile into a tent that they just learned to build themselves. We like to guide kids through the steps, then have them build them together as a team without help. We always enjoy getting to see all they have learned right into action. Hopefully this will help more kids find the love of camping 🏕️.
Bring on the last few weeks of summer programming!☀️
