With my duck season being finished here in Nebraska I am happy to say that this season was a success. With a compounded three days of scouting and six days hunting, I was able to learn a lot of knowledge in the field. I became better at duck calling. I learned new tactics to set up the spread of decoys. I studied the birds: how they move and how they react to various things both natural and artificial.
I am so grateful for the people that I was able to share a homemade blind or a brush pile with this season. Swapping stories and talking trash to each other in between flights of birds is what makes the early mornings and frigid water all worth it!
I look forward to next season and the stories that are waiting to be told.
